Very Good
Great freebies - instant machine with coffee, matcha, tea and water, Yakult in the mornings, ice cream in the afternoon, and ramen at night. The onsen was beautiful and the few massage chairs were a good addition. Room was very spacious compared to other Japanese hotels. The no shoes rule was a nice addition.
The bed and pillows were extremely hard for my liking, and the place was overly crowded with tour buses coming in and out at all times.

Exceptional
We heard many great things of this hotel. However, it exceeded our expectations! Everyone was so friendly. The rooms were clean and spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was absolutely delicious and worth everything! There was a variety of onsens and we went early in the morning at 5am and had the place to ourselves. I would highly recommend staying here for a few days. We will be back.

Really nice place to stay with an onsen that is top notch to relax after exploring all day.
Really nice and clean hotel. The hot spring amenities were superb. Only drawback is how crowded this place it but it's for good reason since I assume the word is out. Lots of Chinese tourists and tourists from other parts of the world. Really nice that they also provide noodles at night for free. The staff were very responsive and accommodating. Pretty easy to get to other parts of Kyoto.
The room was a bit small but that's to be expected for Japan. All the amenities in the room were great and it was very clean. The hotel was quite crowded with many tourists.

Love the hotel.really unique and feel like stay in japanese house.especially the outdoor onsen .the service of reception staff excellent.will stay here when we in kyoto
Location is a little bit far from train station.
